Wicked Busy, And Some Updates

My personal, professional, and photography life has been hectic recently.
I'm getting new photography jobs much more frequently, and I've created an account with Zenfolio, which is an on-line image hosting and ordering website. You can check out the Zenfolio site using the link to the right.

Here's some images from some recent photography sessions:

Wendi & Deans Wedding

You might remember I shot their engagement photos last year...

More engagement photos, this time is Erin & Craig.
I've been hired to shoot their beach wedding in October.

This is Jodi and Mike. Jodi called me from Pennsylvania to hire me for this session!
Thanks to Jeanetta for the referral.

And lastly, this is Daniel. His grandmother, who happens to be one of our babysitters, hired me to shoot his High School Senior photos.
These were shot in Cannon Beach, Oregon, on the same day as Jodi & Mikes session.

Eyan

I recently had the opportunity to shoot the newest member of the Newport, Oregon Police Department. No, I didn't end up getting shot myself, and I don't have to appear in court.
We're working on a project...
I captured my images with my Canon, and not only are they on the city's website, here they are:

Education Update

As mentioned previously, I'm taking an extensive Photography course through the New York Institute of Photography.

I just completed Unit Two. This unit required submission of 3 images.

Image One was supposed to show emphasis on a subject by its size and off-center placement:

Image Two should emphasize a subject by framing. This is an old image, but one perfectly suited for this project:

And Image Three emphasizes a subject by the use of leading lines:

Now on to Unit Three and light!

Overdue Updates

I recently had the opportunity to photograph a family for their portraits. We met at Pacific University in Forest Grove and had a blast!

Here's the best of the best:

Thanks so much to the Atkinson family.

Rendezvouz Photography Website

The website has been upgraded! I've included some new images and made other changes.

Take a few minutes & check it out...

Education

I am currently taking the Complete Course in Professional Photgraphy from the New York Institute Of Photography.

I decided to spend the significant amount of money in order to improve my photography, plus learn more about the business of professional photography, in order to take Rendezvouz Photography to the next level.

I just completed Unit One. In order to complete this unit, I took 3 written tests and had to submit 3 images for review & comment.

Image One was to show a narrow depth of field (the subject in focus, everything else is out of focus:

"O2"

Image Two was to show a wide depth of field (everything is in focus):

"Surf Training"
This is a U.S. Coast Guard 47-foot vessel training at Depoe Bay, Oregon.
And the third image was to show the illusion of speed:

"Fast Boy"

You can see more of my images taken for Unit One on my Flickr page...

Business Photography

Rendezvouz Photography was recently hired to shoot a coastal attorneys' office staff.

We met in the dunes near the beach on a windy morning, and managed to capture all the necessary images just in time to avoid the incoming rain squalls!

Rendezvouz Update

There's new equipment at Rendezvouz Photography!

We've got a Canon 40d camera with the 28-135 image stabilized lens.

We've got a Gary Fong Whaletail flash diffuser.

There's the Lensbaby 2.0 lens.

And new 1,000 watt studio lighting continuous lights w/ softboxes.

Software & hardware round out the list.

We're getting better and better equipped to serve your photographic needs.
